With support for the most recent Wi-Fi standard, IEEE’s 802.11ac Wave 2, the Cisco Aironet 1815i offers wireless performance that leads the industry. A new generation of Wi-Fi clients, including high-performance laptops, tablets, and smartphones with integrated 802.11ac Wave 1 or Wave 2 capability, are now supported by the 1815i.
Features & benefits
MU-MIMO
Support for the most recent version of the Wi-Fi specification, known as IEEE 802.11ac Wave 2, helps the Cisco Aironet 1815i achieve wireless performance that is unmatched in the industry. The 1815i adds compatibility for a new generation of Wi-Fi clients, such as smartphones, tablets, and high-performance laptops. These devices must have integrated support for 802.11ac Wave 1 or Wave 2 to be compatible with the 1815i.
Cisco Mobility Express solution
Flexible deployment made possible by the Mobility Express solution is ideally suited for deployments of a small to medium scale. The 1815i’s straightforward configuration makes it suitable for use in networks that do not have a dedicated hardware controller.
Integrated Bluetooth 4.1
Integrated radio with Bluetooth low-energy version 4.1 (BLE) for use in location and asset tracking (future availability).
Increased wireless performance
The 1815i access point is compatible with the most recent version of the 802.11ac Wave 2 standard, which enables networks to have improved performance, greater access, and higher densities. This access point is equipped with simultaneous dual radios and dual band, as well as 802.11ac Wave 2 MU-MIMO technology. As a result, it is capable of managing the growing number of high-bandwidth devices that will soon be an integral part of the network.
Wired access
The 1815i provides wired connection using a single RJ-45 connector that has auto-detection for 10/100/1000 speeds. It is able to support all operation modes while utilizing power via PoE 802.3af.
Mounting
These sophisticated access points have a tiny form factor and are built with a variety of mounting options in mind for added versatility. You can install them horizontally or vertically on a wall or ceiling. In addition to that, they are simple to set up.
